After nineteenth hour, source confirmed that Tan Hoon Cheng has been released from Internal Security Act.
Apparently the version from my source, the police patrol car escorting Tan Hoon Cheng did not reached Bukit Aman. After received an instruction from “high level”, the patrol car make U-turn back to Penang on the North-South Highway.
However, as the news reported in Malaysiakini, Tan Hoon Cheng was released from Bukit Aman Police Headquarter.
Nevertheless, Tan Hoon Cheng is confirmed released. Assurance has been given by police that she will not be re-detained after being release.
Source said Tan Hoon Cheng will send back to police district headquarter Bukit Mertajam. However the time of actual release from police remained unknown.
However, it is expected not later than today 6.00 pm.
Last Update at 4.30 pm: Tan Hoon Cheng has reached her house at Bukit Mertajam. She arrived that safe.

There is a very important message that can be learned from this episode; if ever you feel your life threatened just make sure the police arrest you under ISA! This is probably the biggest BULLSHIT we have ever heard. I guess if a certain prominent and recently punished UMNO leader feels his life is under a threat (which by the way if you walk the wet markets and listen to the people’s anger, you would feel the mounting emotions) whatsoever, his comrades in power would simply use the new-found-protection excuse ISA to keep him safe. So the “new revised ISA” would now be known as “Individual Safety Assurance”. Cheers!
The freedom of Tan Hoon Cheng should and definitely not a mark to the end of the abuse!

and Voice of Politics, please blog on what Syed Hamid Albar and his pathetic statement explaining the reson why Ms.Tan Hoon Cheng was arrestd and detained under ISA was because her safety was under threat!
since when the police is allowed to deploy ISA to offer protection? … in that case, if i were Tan Hoon Cheng, i did rather die defending my freedon then to be “protected” under the ISA!

Gerakan missed an opportunities again by not attending the ISA forum. Refer to the star quoting Dr Teng informed Lim Guan Eng that Gerakan is not able to attend without providing a reason.
The key issue is that Gerakan should focus on the ISA and not who is being charged now. Is Gerakan practicing selective abolishment of ISA ? I believed all these old school of thoughts leaders needs to go… otherwise Gerakan will remain a has been soon.

Can someone please nominate the learned Home Minister for the Best Tall-tale Speaker Award? His announcement is absolutely the best bluff found anywhere in this world! It was reported that he had no knowledge of the police’s actions (guess he was mis-quoted by journalists too?) yet when he was at Bukit Aman doing the press announcement with the Deputy IGP and Director standing rather quietly behind him. I guess like the DPM he was “apologising” on behalf of the PDRM. Hmmm…wonder what’s next in the coming episode of Malaysia’s Funniest Videos??? Cheers!
