TINY PUSHES
October 6, 2008
This is my open reply, to my comrade and brother Veonszu, as to his earlier comments in my previous entry.
Veonszu,
Well, everyone of us, can be one of the “driver of change“. It is irrelevant whether you hold a “substantial” position, or you are close to someone “influential“.
To me, the driver of change is about the courage and risk-taking.
There’s always more than one route to Rome. I guess you know what I did to advocate Gerakan to pull out from Barisan Nasional.
And I also know what you did for our common goal, but in my personal opinion, your approach are too pessimist.
You keep on rule out the probative values for Gerakan to stay and ignore the prejudicial effects when Gerakan is out from Barisan Nasional, and we are not making an informed decision.
Like it or not, you now is sitting on the driver seat. What you need to do is, switch on the engine, enter a right gear and move the car.
I do not see any reason why you can’t organize an debate for the member, to debate the fate of Gerakan: to stay or to leave. I do not see any reason why you can’t lead a signature campaign, to gather the support from the members.
Walk the talk, I urge. Take a lead, and defend what your consciouness think it is right. Be a driver of change.
If not you, then who, brother Veonszu?
I learn this from Helen Keller. The world is moved not only be the mighty shove of the heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker.
The fourth option, is not something new. But I think there is a room of discussion, before dismissed that possibility.
By the way, I have written some working papers, to strengthen Gerakan until it is “strong” enough to leave Barisan Nasional.
I would like you to comment on my working papers, if you willing to.
I not sure whether my idea will be bought or not. At least, I making a positive move.

Yeah right!!!!
Forward thinking is the right way to go. Calm waters only brings the green moss.
voiceofpolitics, we may not have the answers but as long as we challenge the envelope, the party will be the better of it.
Keep it up!
VoiceofPolitics,
Things are getting “sexed up” (to paraphrase Tony Blair) here!
Thank you for taking my honest and frank views that serious until warranting a FULL Posting on them. I am truly humbled and honored, to say the least. I really enjoy all these!
We really need more thinking members with fresh ideas to push the party forward. In this regards, voiceofpolitics fits this bill rather well. We are in dire need of young idealists like voiceofpolitics to rejuvenate the party and all ideas put forward are most welcome!
I have never, for a moment, doubted the sincerity of voiceofpolitics and question edthe effort he pains-takingly put in. In fact all these are indeed most heartening.
Go ahead and do whatever one thinks is right. Just that I am a staunch believer that each has its own role to play and I have repeatedly said that I have found mine.
I don’t think i have been pouring cold water here either. (If someone happened to misconstrue my views so far as one, too bad and the faulty is entirely mine!)
We should advocate critical thinking and constructive discussion on all ideas. That is exactly I have been doing all these while, or so I thought.
I don’t think I am a pessimist, in fact far from it I am a dream chaser by nature. Otherwise, a few of us won’t be in for some modest experiment (you called that tiny pushes). Quiet doesn’t mean dead!
It i simply a matter of style.
