“Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future.” –  Oscar Wilde

Today is the “Say Sorry Day”. This is part of the Save Vui Kong’s campaign initiative.

People aren’t perfect. So do the politician, the police, the judge, the headmaster, and others.

Since we aren’t prefect, then we tend to make mistake, intentionally, or carelessly. I believe, no one can be spare for not making a mistake.

Whether the mistake is committed intentionally, or carelessly, it would have hurt some one. In some case, we hurt the nation.

And, we may be forgivable, and we may be not.

Sometime, we apologize for the mistake made. Some time we would not, especially when we are not caught.

However to some of us, we may not even make an apology even we caught red handed. There is a song, “Sorry seems to be the hardest word.”

Vui Kong made a mistake, the unforgiveable mistake in the eyes of law.

I believe, at the point of him making the mistake, he would not know how seriousness of the consequence.

But, Vui Kong did not make any mistake further. He made a confession, which may cost him a life. Eventually, he is facing the death sentence.

I agree absolutely that the hard core criminals need to be punished, but death sentence is not the solution. That’s inhumane.

Further, no system in the world can eliminate the possibilities of the miscarriage of justice. But if the death sentence was wrongly executed, no doctors in the world can bring back the life from the death.

By that time, it is too late for us to say, “Sorry…”
